Wellness
Coaching for
Change
Do
you hear your spirit calling you to dance?
Are you excited about your life?
Living your best life means responsibly and intentionally
living your ideal dreams.
You create your life story...you MAKE your life happen.
What story would you prefer to live? By focusing on happy possiblities
you CAN live your most fabulous life.
But there is more, a holistic approach to wellness
means integrating mind, body and spirit. I believe especially Americans suffer from
a soul sickness...a sickness needing attention that includes the
need for a reconnection with nature... eating whole foods locally
raised by farmers who care about the land and treatment of their
animals. I think by restoring movement as an integral part of our
day we can get back to wellness. Rather than returning to the olden
days, I'm talking about creating a nourishing environment where
we can easily thrive and feel good about the way we are living our
daily lives!
It's about getting up each day feeling
excited about what you can experience that day. Experiment with getting up each morning,
doing some stretches and looking out a window at nature and counting
your blessings. Even while you may be going through hard times,
you can ALWAYS intentionally imagine and focus upon your blessings.
Feel grateful for your job, your ability to freely choose and think
your own thoughts, love in your heart. What we focus on grows. Make
your day filled with something good!
If you feel like something is missing in your life but you don't
know where to start, or feel confused about the exact changes to
make, call me. Let’s get spiritually connected in a way that
might benefit you.
Coaching can help you:
Live with intention and fulfilled purpose
Clearly define what it is you want to change
Stay motivated and commit to achieving your goals
Live a more sustainable, responsible and healthy lifestyle
HOW DOES COACHING WORK?
As a wellness coach, we work together so can you discover
the answers to your life questions (rather than me telling
you the answers to your challenges.) You are already a whole
person, rather than some broken person needing to be fixed. I
don't know
what is best for you… no other human knows what’s
best for you. Only YOU know what’s
best for you! Businesses
routinely hire business coaches to provide additional viewpoints
to successfully resolve challenging business questions.
Like this routine “temporarily hire a business coach” practice,
sometimes individuals need a coach. That’s what I do as a
wellness coach.
The wisdom we often seek outside ourselves
is but a reflection of what is already within us. We sometimes
need a different viewpoint
to see the answers we seek. By getting in touch with the living
live mastery already within us, we do indeed find those answers.
That's where I come in. I ask thought-proving questions and guide
you into becoming one with your inner spiritual consultant. If you
ready to make changes, to take responsibility for creating your
new life story, then a wellness coach will help you.
Sessions last appx. 60 minutes. It's usually best to schedule one
weekly session for several weeks. Your inner guidance will inspire
you so you know how long to consult with me as your coach. Please
feel call for a free consultation.
Are you ready to create some change in your life?
WHAT A WELLNESS COACH ISN'T
A wellness coach is different than a therapist
or consultant. The client is expected to equally participate in this
co-creative process and is totally responsible for their
own actions. I am
not a professional therapist or consultant. A wellness
coach doesn't necessarily know any more than the client
on a particular subject,
I am a trained coach however. I'm a guide for you.
I can educate you on healthy ways to eat where you might feel better
but I am
not a certified nutritionist.
You must take responsibility for your own
decisions. I will not
tell you what to do or how to do it. If there is any reason you
would need to check with your primary health care practitioner before
making any changes to you diet or exercise, you need to do so.
Are you ready to take responsibility for creating the life you
really prefer?
THE MIND/BODY CONNECTION
Research has shown that thoughts
are converted into chemicals.
These chemicals are carried
as messages to the cells of
the body to tell them what to
do.
This translates to you are
constantly
communicating
to your body to either be tense
or relax, to be up or down,
and everywhere inbetween.
So, what do you choose to
tell
your body
to
do? I believe there is more. Research
has also show that everything
is basically energy. An atom
has very little
substance
and
a
lot of energy. That energy
eminates from
our body.
We are
communicating
with the world around us
in an unseen way. Have you noticed
how some people make you
feel better just
by being around them, you
don't even have to talk to
them. The same
is true about some people
leave you
feeling worse than
you did before you saw them.
Children and animals sense
who to trust. Some animals
are able to detect illness in people.
So, what does this mean for
us? For me, I realize every
thought I have and action I take has
an effect on everything
around me and maybe even everything.
It has
become
more important for me
to take responsibility
for what I think, what I say
and what I do. While I don't
try to be perfect,
I
just want
to have a positive
effect instead of a negative
one.
What effect are you having
on the world around you?
NUTRITION
If we want to be healthy,
happy and whole then
we must be aware
of nutrition
and how what we eat
effects our mind,
body and spirit.
The body tries hard to maintain homeostasis. It has many
systems to take care of toxins. However, in today's society,
it's very difficult to not overload our bodies with toxins.
As a wellness coach, I can help you become
aware of what you are putting into your body and help you make
healthier
choices. I'm not a nutritionist and can only educate you
on options, I can
not tell you what to eat
to heal any conditions. There are doctors and other practitioners
who can assist you if you have a serious medical condition
by way of diet.
One thing we are all sure of is that eating more vegetables
and fruits and less processed foods leads to better health.
We have come to assume that if it's in the grocery store
it couldn't be
that bad for us. But, this isn't true. Nature has provided
the perfect foods for our bodies. It takes time to break
habits, but it is well
worth the effort. Just by changing your diet, many troublesome
symptoms can disappear.
I believe in eating food grown in our own
communities as much as possible. Not only does this provide freshness
of our foods, but it supports our local farmers and helps
cut down on our oil
usage and CO2 emissions. Recent research supports the idea
that organically grown foods have more nutrients. Organically
raised animals are ethically treated and fed the natural
foods therefore
provide our bodies with more of the nutrients it needs.
Artificial treatments change the biology of foods and animals.
Again, nature has provided the perfect foods, we don't
need to alter them at all. If we provide the soil the nutrients
it needs, our
plants and animals fed on them will provide our bodies
with the perfect nutrients to stay healthy and avoid disease.
We are what
we eat, what we eat is what it was fed. What do you want
passed down to your body?
What you put in your body paints the picture of your future...
What does your picture look like?
Trust the river, but keep the paddle in your hands
(Author – Michael Arloski
Publisher - Whole Person Associates
)
Life is like a river, that flows along infinitely. We do
not contol where the river goes. We do not control the
flow of the river, not its crashing rapids nor its quiet
still pools. We don’t
know where the fork on the left goes, or the fork on the
right.
We are not driftwood. We are not helplessly being pushed
down the river by the current, smashing into the rocks,
or stuck in circling eddies.
It is like we are in a canoe, with a paddle in our hands.
Sitting high in our seats, our eyes wide open, looking
ahead we scan for sings of white water. Our ears alert,
we listen for the
roar of rapids and waterfalls.
We decide whether to take the fork to the left or the
one to the right and we decide whether to run the rapids,
or to put ashore and portage around, putting our crafts
back in the water
when it is safe.
Going with the flow of the river we learn to navigate
with the current, not against it.
We learn to trust the river, but remember the paddle
in our hands. We remember the power of choice we
have and know that we did not create the river, but we choose
ho to live with what
it brings us.
